Advancing excellence in public service.
Who We Are
American Society for Public Administration
Founded in 1939, ASPA is the largest and most prominent broadly-based professional association in American public administration. With the mission of advancing excellence in public service, our members are civil servants, city managers, elected officials ,appointed officials, researchers, scholars, thought leaders, nonprofit managers and more. The organization is a critical bridge between public administration scholarship and practitioners in the field.
Keystone State Chapter
The Chapter, formed in 1967 to serve central Pennsylvania , now is a statewide organization that advances the art, science, teaching, and practice of public and nonprofit administration. The Keystone State Chapter supplements the resources provided by ASPA national headquarters with programs designed to support our members in the challenge of providing public services to Pennsylvania residents.
